Soap Workshop Mucklagh
On the 12th of September 2023, participants gathered at Mucklagh Community Centre to learn the art of soapmaking. This engaging workshop provided a unique chance to indulge in the pleasure of creating a quality product that fulfills our basic needs.
Perfect for beginners and newcomers to the world of soap making, the hands-on workshop allowed attendees to delve into the skills and techniques required to craft their very own batch of soap. With expert guidance from Clem Horan, participants were able to explore the wonderful art of soapmaking and take home their own creations.
The workshop specifically focused on cold-process soap making, offering attendees a therapeutic and enjoyable craft that empowers them to take control of the ingredients. By producing a natural product that cleanses and moisturises the skin, participants discovered the immense benefits for the body’s largest organ, the skin.
This workshop was made possible through Legacy Traditional Skills programme which was developed by Offaly Local Development Company, and funded through the LEADER Rural Development Programme. Cold-pressed soap-making workshops also took place in Cloneyhurke, Edenderry & Moneygall as part of Legacy’s traditional skills programme.
